Dr. Gordon E. Carr is a board-certified pulmonologist, critical care medicine specialist, and hospital administrator based in Tucson, Arizona. He is the chief medical officer for Banner – University Medicine hospitals in Tucson (including Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and Banner – UMC South). He was appointed CMO of Banner – UMC Tucson in April 2016. He had joined the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in the College of Medicine – Tucson’s Department of Medicine in 2011, starting out as medical director of the Intensive Care Unit at Banner – UMC South and having added interstitial lung disease program director and the department’s vice chair of clinical affairs to his titles by that time.
