Hannah McCreight, DO
Where are you from? Austin, Texas
What are your personal interests/hobbies? My active hobbies include weightlifting and anything outside: running, hiking, camping, biking, rock climbing, etc! I love a cozy movie night; I’m a big horror fan. I also enjoy playing cello, reading, stargazing and taking naps.
What are your professional interests? Addiction medicine, social EM, critical care, wilderness medicine.
Why did you choose UA EM? I loved my interview day experience! Even though it was virtual, my conversations with faculty and residents made me feel like they were people I could really connect with and receive the best support from during training. I also really liked the patient population UA SC serves and the longitudinal medical Spanish curriculum. Overall, the mission and culture of the program, along with its more rural/community focus, aligned really well with the way I hope to practice emergency medicine.
Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? There are so many outdoor things to do in Tucson. The mountains, desert and bike loop support my hobbies and the kind of lifestyle I desire. I’m also excited to eat all the delicious food I’ve heard about.
What are your non-medical goals during residency? To the best of my ability I hope to continue to participate and progress in my hobbies, show up for my loved ones and give my dog the best life.
