Isaac Zarif, MD

My name is Isaac and I’m super excited to join the U of A College of Medicine – Tucson internal medicine program! I was born in upstate New York but grew up here in Tucson and I consider myself a Wildcat through and through — I attended the U of A for undergrad, medical school, and now residency. I chose this program because I’ve experienced firsthand how well trained the residents are and how supportive everyone is. Then of course there’s Tucson, which is an amazing city, and my family being here means a lot to me. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, kickboxing/muay thai, following mixed martial arts and basketball, reading and watching tv. One unique thing about me is my Syrian heritage, which strongly influences my cultural values and is an important part of my identity. I’m truly looking forward to meeting everyone in the program and starting the next stage of my career!
