Where are you from? Tucson

What are your personal interests/hobbies? Skiing, video games, traveling when I can find the time or the means!

What are your professional interests? Ultrasound, airways, big EKG nerd.

Why did you choose University of Arizona EM? Bit of a long story involving having to transfer programs but I reached out as I had ties to the area and was impressed right away by the sense of community and welcoming from everyone. I’m coming from a community program but I like that there’s a good mix of academic medicine as well, and feel this will really help prepare me for being a versatile and well-rounded attending in the future.

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? Main reason was that my parents still live here and it’ll be nice to see them more after 10 years away, but I also enjoy trying the variety of restaurants and breweries and going up to Mt. Lemmon for some cooler weather.

What are your non-medical goals during residency? Improve my Spanish, push myself to be uncomfortable, make new friends!
