Jackie is from Phoenix, Arizona and attended the University of Arizona for pre-pharmacy and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She worked as a pharmacist at a specialty pharmacy helping underserved patients living with HIV overcome financial barriers to high cost medications. She attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Oregon where she developed a passion for advocacy and reducing health disparities. She chose UACOM – Tucson for their supportive culture, to be closer to family, and to serve the community that inspired her journey to medicine. In her free time, she loves hiking, yoga, traveling, being a foodie, and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
