Dr. Jasleen Chhatwal is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Chhatwal received her medical degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College, India, in 2009. She completed her residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2015, serving as Chief Resident for the 2014-15 academic year. During residency training, her clinical acumen and professionalism earned her accolades at the residency, state and national level. Dr. Chhatwal joined the department of psychiatry and behavioral health services at Banner - UMC this academic year and she currently provides acuteinpatient psychiatric services at Banner - UMC South, Behavioral Health Pavilion. Active in medical student & resident education, she aims to provide psycho-education and enhance understanding of psychiatric disorders in medical personnel. She is active in advocating for her patients' & colleagues through the Arizona Psychiatric Society and holds a position in the executive council. Her clinical interests include integrated care, early intervention, integrative medicine, psychosomatic medicine, and global mental health.
