Dr. Bates has experience in both community and academic emergency medicine, having previously served as the emergency department chair at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson. Within residency education, she has developed innovative curricula with a focus on improving resident academic and clinical performance as well as resident well-being.
Dr. Bates has been recognized with multiple leadership, teaching and clinical excellence awards. She has published and presented nationally on medical education and emergency medicine.
