Dr. Kanwal Bains joined the University of Arizona faculty in July 2022, after completing a Harvard Medical School nutrition fellowship at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He did his residency at CharterCARE Health Partners in Rhode Island, serving previously as a visiting resident on a gastroenterology elective at a Brown University-affiliated hospital. Dr. Bains also was a research assistant and clinical observer at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse (2017-18), a clinical observer at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and a visiting medical student at the Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, and the Mayo Clinic Arizona. He earned his medical degree at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.
