Kyle Goble, MD

Resident, Pediatrics - PGY-3

Where are you from? Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Why did you choose the College of Medicine – Tucson Pediatrics Residency Program? Southern Arizona is home, and I wanted to come back to the desert. Our program is in a large hospital that has access to virtually all pediatric subspecialty services. It has a fully equipped NICU and a huge variety of cases given our catchment area in the state. I loved the idea of a medium-sized program and had amazing interactions during the recruitment process.

What are your current professional interests and career goals? I fell in love with newborn medicine while in residency, so I plan to become a neonatologist.

What are your personal interests and hobbies? I like anything creative or artistic, especially music (as a listener), visual arts (as a painter), literature, tattoos — you name it.

What is your favorite thing about Tucson? Tucson has the coolest culture in the entire Southwest, in my opinion.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? I consider myself an evangelist for the field of pediatrics. In other words, I love bringing medical students into the profession, so I always make it a goal to teach and show them we have the best job in the world.
