Where are you from? Pocatello, Idaho

Why did you choose the College of Medicine – Tucson Pediatrics Residency Program? The faculty and residents all seemed so happy and friendly. I knew I would get a great education here and would have the opportunity to work with Spanish-speaking patients.

What are your current professional interests and career goals? I'm planning to complete a sports medicine fellowship and practice a mix of outpatient pediatrics and sports medicine.

What are your personal interests and hobbies? Mountain biking (lots of great trails here), running on The Loop, swimming and weekly pickleball with the coolest co-workers. I also make at least one trip to Flagstaff to ski each winter.

What is your favorite thing about Tucson? The weather (sunshine), the sunsets and the surrounding mountains for hiking/biking.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? Exploring the outdoors with my wife, Emily, and getting back into shape.
