Where are you from? Urbandale, Iowa

What are your personal interests/hobbies? Going to the movie theater, ghost adventures, yoga, climbing, traveling the world, cross stitch and cuddling with my cat Mr. Grey.

What are your professional interests? I am interested in working as an emergency medicine physician with focuses on ultrasound, addiction medicine and EMS/fire.

Why did you choose our program? The community of residents, attending physicians and medical staff made me feel at home. I never knew that I could feel so much support while also being pushed by such an amazing group of people. I felt like I would be able to thrive and grow while in this program and truly couldn’t see myself anywhere else.

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? All of the hiking and rock climbing spots drew my attention, but I was blown away by the beautiful nature, animals, monsoons and stars in the sky. Driving around and visiting the national parks felt like paradise.

What are your non-medical goals during residency? Visit a new country!
