Marian Porubsky, MD, FACS

Marian Porubsky, MD, FACS, is an Assistant Professor with the University of Arizona Department of Surgery Division of General Surgery, Section of Abdominal Transplantation and Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) Surgery. Dr. Porubsky performs all solid organ transplant procedures kidney, liver, pancreas, and intestine as well as laproscopic living donor procedures. He provides pre- and post-operative care for transplant recipients and patients suffering from organ failure. A member of the HPB Center team, Dr. Porubsky also treats all conditions that affect the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas and duodenum. The conditions include benign and malignant tumors, inflammations, congenital abnormalities and traumatic injuries. Dr. Porubsky attended medical school at Komensky University Bratislava in Slovakia. Following his general surgery residency training at the University Hospital Essen, Germany, he completed a research fellowship and a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He recently finished a fellowship in organ transplantation at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research in abdominal transplantation at national and international meetings.
