Mary “Allison” Josselet, DO
Where are you from? Pleasant Hill, Missouri
What are your personal interests and hobbies? I love to make something new either through knitting/crochet, painting or baking, and balancing that with being active through mainly running, hiking or yoga. I have been learning new ways of brewing coffee and love exploring new coffee shops. I also will never pass up an opportunity to hang out with my dog and read or watch TV.
What are your professional interests? Pediatric emergency medicine, ultrasound, advocacy and education.
Why did you choose U of A emergency medicine? Once I learned EM/peds combined training was an option, I knew it was the right path for me. I knew I wanted to move out of the Midwest for the first time, and I felt coming to the U of A would give me the professional and personal support to achieve my goals throughout my training. The beautiful weather and scenery are definitely an added bonus.
What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? I love exploring the city and taking in the beautiful scenery all around.
What are your nonmedical goals during residency? I look forward to exploring this part of the country and getting to know all it has to offer around Tucson and beyond. I also hope to improve my Spanish language skills from abysmal to at least somewhat functional.
