Mary Kay Durfee, MD

Dr. Durfee is an obstetrician-gynecologist who worked for Fairview Lakes in Wyoming, Minnesota, prior to moving to Tucson almost 20 years ago. Her previous OB-GYN practice, Genesis/Generations, was affiliated with Northwest Medical Center before she became an OB-GYN hospitalist at Tucson Medical Center for the last eight years.
Dr. Durfee has witnessed the suffering and medical morbidity of hundreds of women with substance use disorders, and she has been challenged by the difficulty of caring for pregnant patients with SUDs. Dr. Durfee has stepped back from the arduous role of an inpatient OB-GYN hospitalist to focus on patients with SUDs.
Dr. Durfee grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and enjoys her cabin on Silver Lake in the Wautoma area. Her husband, Mark, is a local teacher and coach. Dr. Durfee enjoys cycling with Mark, reading, writing flash fiction and spending time with her family. Her children are grown and live in the Tucson area.
