Mihra S. Taljanovic MD, PhD, FACR is an Emerita Professor of Medical Imaging and Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Arizona since 11/01/2019 after more than twenty years of service. Currently she works as a per diem employee for Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. She is an accomplished academician with 114 peer reviewed publications, 3 books, 18 book chapters and numerous scientific and educational abstracts and presentations. She presented more than 300 invited lectures and more than 40 ultrasound workshops in the country and throughout the world. Dr. Taljanovic is an active member of numerous professional organizations and serves on several committees and editorial boards. Through International Skeletal Society she served in regional outreach programs in Bulgaria 2008, Uganda and Zambia 2011, Rwanda 2013, Tanzania 2014, China 2014, Kenya 2015 and Nigeria and Ghana 2019. She is recipient of numerous awards including ABR Volunteer Service Award in 2015, RSNA Honored Educator Award in 2016, University of Arizona College of Medicine Faculty Mentoring Award in 2017 and AMA Women in Medicine Award 2019.
