Patrick S. Rivers, PhD

Biostatistician III, Family and Community Medicine

Dr. Rivers' research focus has primarily been in community and clinical cohorts researching respiratory viruses, vaccine effectiveness and vaccine hesitancy. In his work as a generalist biostatistician, he has assisted on studies examining issues ranging from falls prevention, pulmonary hypertension, methadone treatment, rapamycin, diabetes, refugee care and critical care outcomes. He also works with residents on research projects associated with the Department of Family and Community Medicine’s Resident Scholarly Project Program. He has expertise in data analysis and modeling, data harmonization, organization and structuring, quality assurance, governance and metadata management.
