Preethi William, MD
Dr. William is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center and a cardiologist with the Advanced Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support and Transplant Cardiology Team at Banner University Medical Center Tucson. She manages patients with advanced cardiomyopathies, heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory devices. Her advanced cardiomyopathy focus includes infiltrative, inherited, inflammatory and peripartum cardiomyopathies.
She is board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics, echocardiography, and cardiology.
Dr. William earned her medical degree at Vinyaka Missions Medical College in Karaikal, India, then pursued internal medicine training at the University of Arizona, where she was selected as a chief medical resident. She then completed a fellowship in geriatrics, and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases, where she was selected as a chief fellow. Following her training at the UA, she completed a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at the University of Utah Hospitals in Salt Lake City.
