Where are you from? El Dorado Hills, California

What are your personal interests/hobbies? Backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, playing guitar, cooking, and hanging out with my wife and two dogs.

What are your professional interests? Wilderness medicine, ultrasound, teaching and EMS.

Why did you choose UA EM? When I rotated here during my fourth year, I loved the combination of community and academic medicine as well as the integrated Spanish curriculum, but the biggest draw to me was how happy the residents were and how much they all seemed to truly be like a family. 

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? The great hiking, warm weather and food/drink scene.

What are your non-medical goals during residency? Spend as much time as possible outdoors, witness Mount Lemmon snow, improve my Spanish and learn how to trad climb.
