Saman Nematollahi, MD

Dr. Saman Nematollahi is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the associate program director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson in 2015. He completed internal medicine residency training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York City, in 2018, then finished his infectious diseeases fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, with an emphasis on transplant infectious diseases in 2021. He also completed a master of education in the health professions degree through Johns Hopkins University School of Education in 2022. Dr. Nematollahi is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He was previously chair of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) Fellows Subcommittee and a liaison to the executive committee of the IDSA Medical Education Community of Practice. He is the co-chair of the American Society of Transplantation ID Community of Practice Education Workgroup. In addition, he is on the Infectious Disease Fellows Network Executive Committee and serves as director of research for The Clinical Problem Solvers and CardioNerds podcasts.
