Seth Horvath, DO

Where are you from? Danville, Pennsylvania
What are your personal interests/hobbies? Exercise, hiking, traveling, Philadelphia sports, video games, podcasts, action movies, streaming shows, and hanging out with my wife and three cats.
What are your professional interests? Ultrasound, wilderness medicine, toxicology, EMRAP, teaching and patient communication.
Why did you choose our program? The residents and faculty were so welcoming and made me feel comfortable during interviews and second looks. There is a general feeling of positivity and support that I felt from everyone I interacted with. I loved the curriculum and exposure to pediatrics. Sometimes things just click and feel right, and I couldn’t imagine doing my residency training anywhere else.
Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? After living in big cities for the last decade, I wanted to reconnect with the outdoors. I have always wanted to live in Arizona because of the culture and I’m excited to attend football and basketball games at the University of Arizona!
What are your non-medical goals during residency? I want to explore Tucson to the fullest including hikes and sporting events. I want to maintain my current level of fitness and be able to spend time with my wife and pets. I’d also like to improve my Spanish!
