Steve Daniel, MD

Fellow
[Block A on U of A Football Stadium]

Dr. Daniel is an addiction medicine fellow whose interest in addiction medicine began early in his residency training through meaningful clinical experiences when caring for patients with substance use disorders. Learning more about addiction medicine and seeing the impact this specialty can have on patients sparked his desire to pursue addiction medicine training.

Dr. Daniel is drawn to addiction medicine because of the opportunity it provides to care for patients with substance use disorders while helping reduce the stigma surrounding addiction. He values working with vulnerable and underserved populations and appreciates the opportunity to support patients through recovery with patient-centered, evidence-based care.

He enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and colleagues, particularly with board and in-training exam preparation.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Daniel enjoys biking, going to drive-in movies, attending live music events, and sightseeing. He looks forward to continuing to grow as an addiction medicine physician, learning from patients and colleagues, and contributing to a supportive, multidisciplinary care environment.
