Tina Buehner, PhD

Visiting Scholar, Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Nuclear Radiology and Theranostics

Dr. Buehner is a contributor to the Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics Division at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine – Tucson Department of Medical Imaging.  

With over 20 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist, Dr. Buehner is the director of clinical affairs at Cyclomedica USA. She has served as a health physicist specialist at Rush University and previously worked as the manager of nuclear medicine/nuclear cardiology at Loyola University Health System’s Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois. Prior to her work at Loyola, Dr. Buehner worked as a staff technologist and clinical educator at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Buehner earned her PhD with the dissertation titled “The Use of a Novel Amino Acid Toward Improving the Diagnosis of Gynecologic Cancers.”
