Where are you from? Tucson, Arizona

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I enjoy bowling, paintball, anime, reading, board games and 3D printing. 

What are your professional interests? Rural medicine, critical care and teaching. 

Why did you choose U of A emergency medicine? I chose this program because the people here are genuinely welcoming, down-to-earth and the kind of team you actually want to work long shifts with. The program’s goals really align with my own, especially when it comes to becoming a well-rounded, adaptable and compassionate EM doc. On top of that, I grew up here, so being able to train in and give back to the same community that raised me makes this opportunity even more meaningful.

What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? The food here is excellent. Every time I am away from home, I can't wait to come back and go to some of my favorite spots. 

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? Getting through more books, maintaining fitness goals and spending more time outside.
