Wayne Kubal, MD

Professor Emeritus, Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Neurology and Neurosurgery

Dr. Kubal continues to serve in the Neuroradiology Division, where his contributions as an educator and thought leader remain deeply impactful. He is a regularly invited lecturer for prestigious organizations including the American Society of Emergency Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America (RSNA), and the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). In addition, he presents educational courses at the American College of Radiology (ACR) Education Center, helping to shape the next generation of radiologists.

His commitment to education has been a cornerstone of his career, and he finds particular fulfillment in witnessing the achievements of his former trainees. Having served as Director of the Neuroradiology Fellowship Program and led the radiology residents’ journal club for over a decade, Dr. Kubal remains a dedicated mentor to junior faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.
