William Byrne-Quinn, DO

Arizona Health Sciences Center
Room 8303
Where are you from? Phoenix, Arizona.
Why did you choose the College of Medicine – Tucson Pediatrics Residency Program? I’ve always had a love for Tucson after spending four years here for undergrad and then during my interview, I appreciated how the residents all seemed to get along. The residents, support staff and faculty were all so personable and I knew that I wanted to be back here for residency.
What are your current professional interests and career goals? General pediatrics!
What are your personal interests and hobbies? I enjoy hanging out with friends and co-residents and supporting the athletics of the Harvard of the West (University of Arizona). I also love staying active with swimming at the rec, running on the loop and hiking in the mountains.
What is your favorite thing about Tucson? The desert beauty never ceases to amaze me. Whether it’s the cacti when going to Sabino Canyon or the sunsets after a monsoon, there are moments in every day where I find myself in awe of the desert.
What are your non-medical goals during residency? Read more books, get into cycling, explore new restaurants and learn Spanish!
