About the Council

The Dean’s Council on Faculty Affairs is a College of Medicine standing committee that works to strengthen faculty life through policy development, mentorship support, and recognition of faculty excellence. The Council advises the Dean on key issues such as promotion and tenure, recruitment and retention, and faculty development.

Key Responsibilities

•    Develop and implement programs that enhance faculty careers
•    Support faculty mentoring and leadership development
•    Create and review policies relevant to faculty affairs
•    Recognize outstanding faculty contributions through awards
•    Advise the Dean on faculty-related matters including promotion, tenure, recruitment, and retention
